How they can help?

As Speech and Language Therapists, one of the most important parts of their role is building relationships. The most important one is with your child followed closely by yours. To establish this, Becky or Mel need to see your child in an environment they feel comfortable in which will be the most effective place for them to progress. Therefore, Becky or Mel may need to see your child at home or at their educational setting.

Depending on the assessment findings of your child's needs, Becky or Mel will advise you each step of the way to provide an individualised programme.

Parents/carers and educational staff are the most influential within the therapy process as you/they know your child the best.

As communication is vital, if required and with your permission, Becky or Mel will liaise closely with your child's educational setting ensuring all involved have a shared understanding of how best to help.
